Advocacy

RICA champions effective regulatory policy and serves as a collective voice for member interests.  We support rural competitive communications service providers through regulatory filings, advocacy with legislators and regulatory bodies, and regular visits to Washington D.C. to educate key decision makers on our members and their markets.

Semi-Annual Conferences

Our association meetings have quickly built a reputation for providing practical, solid educational and networking sessions.  We help member companies manage and grow their operations by providing an opportunity to exchange viewpoints, innovative ideas, and address key issues with peers from around the country.  Keynote speakers, roundtables, and workshops feature solutions to shared problems, exposure to “best practices,” and an opportunity to build management, technical, customer service and marketing skills.

RICA Committees

Collaboration is a hallmark of RICA.  Besides our conferences, members gain valuable insights by participating in our Marketing, Technology, Interconnection, and Membership Committees.

Tools and Information

Our quarterly newsletter is loaded with member news, summaries of RICA filings, profiles of our member companies, and information to support member operations.  Regular e-mail alerts keep you up-to-date on the regulatory monitoring we conduct on your behalf. 

RICA Web Site

Our web site allows members the opportunity to review current filings and news, read current and archived newsletters, and explore links to other industry web sites.  The members-only section includes the membership directory, seminar handouts, and the ability to post questions to the members’ list serve.
